DSP investigates Waffle House robbery

Troopers are investigating an armed robbery of the Waffle House, located on South DuPont Highway in Camden, Delaware.

According to records, the incident occurred around 5:00 A.M., Thursday. A male suspect armed with a handgun allegedly entered the store and approached a 20-year-old female employee and a 20-year-old male employee at the counter.

The suspect pointed the gun at both of the victims and demanded cash from the register.

Reports say, the female victim complied and turned over an undisclosed amount of money. The suspect then fled on foot east toward Star Hill. Both employees were uninjured in this incident.

Delaware State Police say the suspect was described as a black male, 5’9″-5’10” tall, wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants, black gloves, and a black mask covering his face.

DSP also warn that the  alleged suspect was armed with an unknown type handgun and ask that if anyone has any further information to contact Delaware Crime Stoppers  at 1-800-TIP-3333.
