Dover man accused of accosting store employee during theft

A Dover man is facing charges, after Police say he assaulted a store employee, while trying to steal merchandise.

According to Dover Police, on Wednesday around 8:10 PM, 37-year-old Jarvis Isabell attempted to steal several hooded sweatshirts from the men’ section of Macy’s on North DuPont Highway.

Police say a loss prevention employee confronted Isabell, who then fought with the employee, causing numerous abrasions to his face. Isabell apparently fled the area on foot, but was apprehended a short time later.

He has since been charged with 2nd degree robbery, and is being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $5,000 cash bond.
