Delegates discuss challenges to address in economic forecast

Panelists at the 28th Annual Lower Shore Economic Forecast discussed potential challenges that could arise in the fiscal years ahead. One issue in particular surrounded agriculture. Delegate Carl Anderton says those concerns fit right in with the work he’s doing in Annapolis.

Lawmakers return to the capital in just a few short weeks. Anderton tells 47 ABC that this current momentum of ideas and suggestions is what helps folks like him make decisions across the bridge.

Delegate Anderton continues, “I serve on the environment transportation committee with Delegate Otto from Somerset County. We’re sitting there at the table when these pieces of legislation come through that have a direct impact on us here on the peninsula.”

Anderton says a lot of committees are set up for bills to be passed, but his actually stops bills from passing. He’s encouraging his constituents to provide as much feedback as possible, so he’ll know what information to bring back to his colleagues in Annapolis.
