Cantello, Mallards take down The Salisbury School

Sam Cantello had 12 points, including 8 in the fourth quarter, along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals to lead Worcester Prep’s boys basketball team over the Salisbury School 48-33 on Wednesday night.
The Mallards played stellar defense in the first quarter, holding Salisbury School to just four points in the first eight minutes. In the second, Prep would extend that lead, going up 20-10 at the half. The Dragons began to make a run in the third quarter, getting a big quarter out of John Cottingham (7 points in 3rd) and closing the gap to 30-25 after three. The Mallards would close out the fourth with their biggest offensive quarter of the game, going for 18 points to secure the victory.
In addition to Cantello’s contributions, Tucker Brown scored 12, while Brendan Miller scored 11. For Salisbury School, Cottingham finished with a team high 14, while Jack Conway put in 13.
