Cambridge Police investigating sexual assault of child

A 36-year-old Cambridge man has been arrested, after investigators say he sexually assaulted a seven-year-old girl.

On Wednesday, Cambridge Police were reportedly notified by the girl, that this summer, she was sexually assaulted by her mother’s boyfriend. The suspect, later identified as Enrique Aparicio-Martinez, reportedly admitted to officials to the sexual assault, which the victim reportedly told police was touching her private parts, and performing oral sex on her.

Police have arrested Aparicio-Martinez, and charged him with sex abuse of a minor, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th degree sex offense, child abuse, and 2nd degree assault.

Apraricio- Martinez is being held in the Dorchester County Detention Center on a $375,000 bond.
