Blood Bank of Delmarva Seeks Donations this holiday season

In the season of giving, the Blood Bank of Delmarva is hoping that the public generosity will include giving a blood donation.

Apparently, the Bank of Delmarva greatest need is for “O” negative the universal blood type and O positive.

All types of blood types are welcome.

Platelet donors are also urged to schedule appointments, since it reportedly only has a shelf life of three days.

Michael Waite of the Blood Bank of Delmarva says giving blood is one of the most important gifts you can give.

“When you look at goodwill and all the things the holiday is about you’ll never find a more personal gift than blood donation,” says Waite.

The Blood Bank of Delmarva closes at 2pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve. Closed Christmas and New Years Day, and open 7am to 2 pm the days after.
