Attorney General’s office investigating possible student I.D. fraud

The office of the Maryland Attorney General has confirmed their investigation into the possible misuse of student identification cards at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

The office is reviewing reports of counterfeit money being added to student I.D. cards and then reclaimed for actual cash. Right now, they’re not confirming how many people or the amount of funds that could be involved.

UMES released this statement regarding the issue..”The University has referred the matter to state authorities for investigation and as such, the University is not able to comment further.”
