Armed robber strikes again at dollar store in Laurel

Police in Laurel say, they are searching for a male suspect following a late night armed robbed at the Dollar General Store on Sussex Highway.

According to the Laurel Police Department at about 9:45 PM on Thursday, the suspect entered the store waving a handgun demanding cash and cigarettes. Reports say, employees of the store complied with the suspect and handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and property. Police then say, the suspect fled the store in an unknown location.

A check of the area was reportedly conducted by Laurel Police with help from the Delaware State Police and the Wicomico County K9 unit, but no further evidence have been found.

Officials say, the suspect was last seen wearing a black hooded sweat shirt, dark jeans, and dark sneakers. Police also believe this same suspect robbed this store last month on November 22nd.
