47 ABC surprises Woodbridge Middle School teacher

On Monday, 47 ABC crew surprised Woodbridge Middle School teacher Jill Lewandowski as apart of our “Teachers Who Make A Difference’ program.

Mrs. Lewandowski teaches 7th-grade at the school and has been doing so for the past 16 years.

She says that she and her family have a special relationship with the Woodbridge Middle School, stating that her father was a principal and her sister is a teacher and librarian.

Lewandowski tells us that keeping up with trends in teaching is one of her secrets to being an effective educator.

“I have to make sure I’m up on any new strategies and anything new that’s coming around, to be able to relate to my students, I have to make sure I’m up on not just technology, but the slang and the meanings behind everything that they say so that I’m relevant in the classroom.” she tells 47 ABC.
