Wicomico Co. cancels metro area trips following Paris attacks

Wicomico County Public Schools announced on Tuesday, that they are suspending several field trips to various metro areas, for safety concerns.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Superintendent of Schools Dr. John Fredericksen, says the cancellations come after they learned of threats to several major cities in our area in the aftermath of the Paris attacks.

Officials say this is being done in an abundance of caution. Trips were cancelled for Tuesday and Wednesday. Officials say, for now they are waiting on a decision on Thursday and Friday trips, and beyond, to get more information.
