UPDATE: Wilmington man gave authorities false ID during Dover traffic stop

A traffic stop in Dover, reportedly lead to the discovery of drugs and a handgun, landing one behind bars.
Dover Police say on Tuesday around 12:35 PM, Officers with the Street Crimes Unit watched a black Nissan Maxima run a stop sign, near Simon Circle and Reese Street. Officer say they then pulled the car over, and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from it.
According to the report, the Officers then searched the vehicle, and found 4.7 grams of marijuana, 78 bags of heroin totaling 1.17 grams, a loaded .380 caliber handgun, a loaded/altered .22 long rifle, 19 Oxycodone pills, and various drug paraphernalia items.
Police say the driver was then arrested, and charged with two counts of possession of firearm during commission of felony, possession with intent to deliver controlled substance, possession of controlled substance in tier 1 quantity, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of firearm by person prohibited, possession of controlled substance without prescription, possession of marijuana with aggravating factor, possession of drug paraphernalia, and other related traffic offenses.
At the time of the traffic stop, the driver gave police them the license of 18-year-old Lawrence Bracy, and told them that was his name. According to police, the driver was later identified as 20-year-old James Beavers.
He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on at $32,500 secured bond.
