UMES Volleyball’s Season Ends With MEAC Tournament Loss

The UMES volleyball team saw their season come to an end Friday morning with a tough 3-2 loss to Florida A&M in the opening round of the MEAC Tournament. The Hawks finish out the season with a 22-7 record.

UMES would jump out to a quick lead, taking set 1 before watching the Rattlers takes the next 2. In a must win set 3, UMES would dominate early and ride their lead to a win as the teams would head to a winner takes on 5th. There Florida A&M would grab a huge lead early, and UMES would never be able to overcome the deficit. Lucia Babic led the way offensively for the Hawks, finishing with 20 kills while Zuzana Ondruskova finished with 18.
