Two Dover men arrested on multiple drug charges

Police in Dover say they have charged two Dover men with drug offenses, following a search.

Dover Police say on Tuesday, the Crimes and Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime units searched a residence on South Governors Avenue, and found 511 grams of marijuana, 5.8 grams of crack cocaine, and 12.1 grams of PCP. Police say they also located numerous paraphernalia items used for weighing, packaging, and selling narcotics.

According to the report, two residents were arrested, 28-year-old Julius Powell, and 57-year-old Oscar Peterson. Both men were charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana – tier one quantity, conspiracy second degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Powell was additionally charged with possession with intent to deliver PCP, and possession of a tier two quantity of PCP. Both men are now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on secured bonds.
