Two Del. hunters arrested on weapons violations

Two hunters were arrested, after Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control says they were found to be prohibited from having weapons. DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police say during regular compliance checks, they made two arrests.
On Friday, 53-year-old Carl L. Bennett, of Dagsboro, was charged with four counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited; possession of firearm ammunition by a person prohibited; failure to display required hunter orange during a firearms deer season, and hunting without a license near Millville. He was later released on $25,500 unsecured bond, pending a preliminary hearing. Four shotguns, along with ammunition were reportedly seized as evidence in the case.
On Monday, DNREC says 48-year-old Donald Glosenger Jr., of Harrington, was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited; possession of firearm ammunition by a person prohibited; failure to display required hunter orange during a firearms deer season, and hunting without a license near Harrington. He was later released on a $10,150 bond, pending a preliminary hearing. Investigators say a shotgun and ammunition were seized as evidence in the case.
Delaware law prohibits persons with certain prior convictions, including felonies, from owning or possessing any type of deadly weapon, which include all firearms and any type of bow – compound, recurve or crossbow. Penalties for violations, according to authorities, range from probation and fines to jail sentences.
