Two arrested on drug charges in Easton

Police in Easton say two Maryland teens are facing charges, after they were reportedly found in a vehicle with drugs.

Easton Police say on Monday, Officers responded to Corbin Parkway, near Fourth Street, for reports of persons possibly using a controlled dangerous substance, inside of a vehicle. Once on scene, Police say they met with Don Chester, 18, of Easton and Zane Bell, 18, of Denton, just as Bell was getting out of the driver’s seat.

Officers reportedly smelled marijuana, and apparently noticed some in plain view inside of the vehicle, and on the driver’s side floorboard. Police say the vehicle belonged to Chester, and that the amount of suspected marijuana inside indicated an intent to distribute. Bell also reportedly was in possession of a suspected prescription medication that was not his, and suspected marijuana.

Bell was charged with three counts of controlled dangerous substance possession with the intent to distribute, three counts of controlled dangerous substance possession, two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, one count of controlled dangerous substance-common nuisance, and one count of removal of prescription bottle label. He is now being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond, following an initial appearance.

Chester was charged with three counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, three counts of controlled dangerous substance possession, two counts of possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, and one count of controlled dangerous substance-common nuisance. He is now being held at the Talbot County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond, following an initial appearance.
