Turkey prices down this year

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and this year, the amount that it will cost you to serve up a traditional turkey is less than last year.

According to the USDA, this week, frozen turkeys are 90 cents per pound. That’s down 18 cents from the previous week. Some shoppers may even find their grocery stores offering turkeys for 49 cents per pound, due to promotional offers.

The USDA is projecting that 228 million turkeys will be produced by the end of the year.
