Thanksgiving shopping draws last-minute customers

Most of us have been there: a last minute dash to the grocery store upon a big feasting holiday.
According to the American Farm Bureau, the average cost of a Thanksgiving spread for 10 people was just over 50 dollars. A 16-pound turkey itself averaged just over 23 dollars.
Some shoppers 47ABC spoke to on Thanksgiving say they were just shopping for side-dishes.
“We needed some fruit and some bread and just last minute stuff, milk. Usually we’re better prepared,” Says Salisbury resident John Orth.
Jason Watson, a Salisbury resident, was shopping for side-dish ingredients as well.
“We are here for some cheese for some macaroni and cheese and some bread crumbs to up the stuffing.” Says Watson.
The price estimated from the American Farm Bureau does not include alcohol.
