Suspect in Jennings murder suspended from UMES

Officials from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore say Kevin Nixon, 22, has been suspended indefinitely from the school following the murder of Damon Jennings, 22.
Public Relations Director Bill Robinson says Nixon, who is originally from Gwynn Oak, Md., was a senior at UMES. Nixon is currently being held at the Somerset County Detention Center after being chaged with accessory after the fact in the murder.
Nixon as well as Jazzmine Morton, 21, and Elijah Carroll, 22, both of Baltimore, have been taken into custody following the discovery of Jennings body on October 29, along Backbone Road near Seatick Road in Eden, Md.
Maryland State Troopers say the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled Jennings’ death a homicide due to multiple stab wounds.
The investigation is ongoing.
