Smyrna Keeps State Title Hopes Alive
The Smyrna Eagles have continued to turn around the league throughout the entire 2015 season.
Most of their success has come from sophomore running back, Will Knight, who has continued to be a force within this Eagles offense. The one who has helped orchestrate this offense is quarterback, Nolan Henderson, who has done big things for this team all season long as well. Friday night’s playoff game against Mount Pleasant was no different for the dynamic duo – who helped continue lead this team to another victory.
Anderson had himself quite the night throwing five touchdown passes including three of those to Donté Ritchie and Knight scored a 75 yard touchdown on the ground. This Smyrna football team has so many weapons on the field – it is incredible to watch them continue to make their playoff run.
Mount Pleasant got back within one score to the Eagles, but they were no match for this Smyrna powerhouse who has a state championship on their mind.
Smyrna got the win over Mount Pleasant, 56-32 and will advance to the next round of playoffs next Saturday.
