Salisbury man arrested for DUI with child in the car

November 24th around 3:00 PM, while conducting a speed enforcement on Snow Hill Rd, a deputy attempted to pull over 49-year-old Brian McGinty of Salisbury, after radars determined he was exceeding the speed limit.

Wicomico County Sheriff’s say, McGinty continued east on Snow Hill Road without stopping.

Once deputies located McGinty in the 30000 block of Dixon Road, they had detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and other indicators.

This suggested that McGinty was under the influence of alcohol which led to the administration of sobriety testing.
He performed poorly on the test, which led to his arrest for DUI.

McGinty was also transporting a child in the vehicle at the time of the stop. The deputy released McGinty upon the issuance of citations pending a future court date.
