Salisbury fire crews respond to backyard fire

Members of the Salisbury Fire Department say they were alerted of a structure fire along St. Andrews Drive in the Nithsdale area around 7:46 A.M. Friday.

Fire officials say the caller told them the attached deck to the home was on fire, but had not yet reached the house. According to the Salisbury Fire Department, all residents and canines were safely taken out of the house.

The fire was reportedly extinguished, and that investigation is now in control of the Maryland Office of the Fire Marshal.
