Raising money so kids can have presents for holidays

The temperatures are dropping, days are shorter and the leaves are changing which also means the holiday season is quickly approaching. That’s why the Dover police department is raising money again for their Heroes and helpers program.

The program that started in 2013 allows children from the Dover area to pair up with a police officer to go shopping for holiday gifts at the Dover Target.

This year Target has donated $1,000 to the department, but Dover police have launched a fundraising campaign on Go-Fund-Me to raise an additional $4,000 to help thirty or more children.
