Queen Anne’s Volleyball Takes Down WiHi

Queen Anne’s athletics have seen a lot of success this fall and another one of their teams took the court today looking to add to that success. The volleyball team played host to Wicomico High School – in which the winner would go on to play Kent Island.

The home team would be on the attack early on with several aces to help give them a lead, and the Indians did not have an answer to those monster serves leading to the first set going to the Lions. The Indians pushed back in the second set and would take a 13-11 lead, however, the Lions were not ready to give up that second set as they were able to rally back to get the win 25-15.

With two sets behind them, Queen Annes put away WiHi in a close third set to take the match 3-0 and advance to the next round of the volleyball state tournament against Kent Island on Monday, November 9th.
