Queen Anne’s Sara Walford Scores The Game-Winner In Double-OT

The Queen Anne’s County High School Lions and the Kent County Trojans took the field for a field hockey state tournament match up and this was a great game between even better teams.

The game was back-and-forth between the two teams who had opportunities to score throughout the first half, however, both teams would be scoreless throughout the first half of play making it a 0-0 game at half time.

The battle between the Lions and the Trojans continued throughout the second half as well resulting in a tie through regulation. However, in double overtime, Sara Walford put away the game-winner to help Queen Anne’s advance to the regional championship game on Wednesday, where the Lions will face Pocomoke.
