Pusey Fueled and Pusey Strong; Pocomoke Poised For Title

The Pocomoke field hockey team is set to return to the 1A State Championship game Saturday where they will take on Patuxent. The Warriors will be taking the field with the support of the entire Shore, as their courage this season has captivated everyone that’s seen them.

This past summer, the Warriors lost their long time head coach Susan Pusey when she unexpected passed from complications with a routine surgery. Since then, the team has rallied around each other, led by their new head coach Brandi Castaneda. As the season grew, so did the team. With each game, they became more #PuseyStrong. And as they showed their courage to the community, never backing away from the pressure or exceptions, the Shore began to take notice.  The support began to come rolling in from teams across Delmarva. Pocomoke now stands just one win away from returning one of the richest programs in the state to greatest. It will be a season the team and the shore will never forget, because of the resolve of the Warriors.
