Police searching for two suspects after Harrington home invasion robbery

Police in Harrington are investigating a home invasion style robbery, that locked down two area schools, on Friday morning.

Harrington Police say just before 11:40 AM, Officers reported to an alert for a home invasion robbery on West Center Street. According to the report, someone knocked at the door of the home, and spoke with the resident about having a vehicle repaired.

During the conversation, Police say a second person appeared, armed with a handgun, before the two forced their way into the house, while demanding money from the victim. One of the two suspects reportedly held the victim at gunpoint, while the other bound his hands.

Police say the victim was able to escape, while the suspects were ransacking the home. The victim was later taken to Milford Memorial Hospital by EMS for treatment of minor injuries.

Police say they are still searching for the suspects, who are both believed to have fled the home on foot. Police describe suspect one as as a light skin black man, standing between 6′ and 6’3″, weighing between 180 and 200lbs, with a beard, last seen dressed in all black, and wearing green sneakers, while suspect 2 is described as a dark skin black man, standing between 5’8″ and 5’10” tall, with a stocky build, a full beard and black rim eye glasses, last seen dressed in all black.

Police say during their investigation, they put a temporary lock down on W.T. Chipman Middle school and Lake Forest South Elementary, that was lifted as soon as the area was deemed secure by Investigators.
