Police arrest teen in armed robbery

Officials say, they have a 15-year-old in custody after he allegedly robbed a gas station in Delmar.

According to Delmar Police, authorities responded to Gordy Exxon on Ocean Highway in Delmar, Maryland in reference to an armed robbery. Allegedly, the suspect approached the cashier holding an unknown weapon and demanded money. The cashier reportedly handed over money to the suspect and the suspect fled towards Bi-State Boulevard. Officials say, a K-9 unit from Wicomico County Sheriff’s office was able to locate the suspect at a water waste facility off of Connelly Mill Road.

The suspect is facing a number of charges including first and second degree assault and is being held at the Lower Eastern Shore Children’s Center.
