One injured in Tuesday morning crash

Delaware State Police are investigating after a single car crash lands a man in the hospital.

According to the Little Creek Fire company, the crash happened just before 10 AM Tuesday. The crash occurred on Route 9 between Persimmon Tree Lane and Leipsic Road.

Upon arrival, fire officials say the driver of the pick-up was trapped in the car. They say after an extensive extrication, the patient was freed and transported to Kent General.

The crash remains under investigation.
