No-Shave November kicks off

No Shave November kicks off and that means many people are putting their razors down to raise awareness and money about cancer. It’s similar to ‘Movember’, which which raises awareness specifically for men’s health issues such as prostate cancer.
No-Shave November is more generally applied to *all* cancer awareness and research funding . The American Cancer Society is one of the organizations that benefits and they say they are happy to see an increase in support from a demographic that usually isn’t at the forefront of cancer awareness.
Arlene Schneider, the Senior Market Manager of the Salisbury/Ocean City Market American Cancer Society says, “What is really inspirational about this is that it is attracting younger guys who want to make a difference and wee don’t really see this side of out community that often.”
