OUT IN THE COMMUNITY
- Travis Michels, an Eagle Scout himself, represented our Stations at the Boy Scouts of America Prayer Breakfast at WYCC (very) early Wednesday morning.
More than two hundred middle and high school girls gathered at the Atlantic Sands hotel in Rehoboth Beach for the Sussex County Girls Summit. The theme was “Choose a Success”. It was sponsored by Pathways to Success of Delaware and featured several break-out sessions. The key note address was by our own Lenita Wesson.
- Tonight, I will represent our Stations at the swearing in ceremony for the new Mayor and City Council at Fire House 16 on Cypress Street
- This Friday is Third Friday in Downtown Salisbury and the theme is “Light”. Keep an eye on your mailbox for further information.
This class of third grade Magnet students at North Salisbury School will be visiting our Station one day this week. Shown here, is Meteorologist Daniel Johnson with the students when he visited their school last Thursday.
BIG BUSINESS STEPS UP: Several major carriers have offered free calls to Paris for Americans wanting to check on friends and family who may be in the City. Although I didn’t catch all of the names, Verizon was named as one of those carriers. If you wish to take advantage of this offer, I suggest you check with your carrier for terms and conditions prior to placing calls.
