Local bakery keeps Day of the Dead tradition alive

In Georgetown, one bakery is honoring their roots by baking Day of the Dead bread. Ortiz Bakery, bakes this bread one week out of the year. The owner wakes up at midnight to start the process of making the dough and forming it into different shapes such as tomb stones and people that have passed away.
The bread is topped with colored sugar. The owners of Ortiz bakery brought this Day of the Dead recipe from their family members in Mexico. Ortiz Bakery will be selling these breads until November 4th.
