Lewes library construction moving along

Good news for book worms as the new Lewes Public Library construction is moving along.

47 ABC stopped by earlier today to check in – and as you can see – the windows are being put into place.

Mayor Ted Becker tells us the facility will be fully closed in by December and will feature solar panels on the roof that will cover 80-100% of electricity costs.

“The new Lewes library will be 28,000 square feet which is about double the current size. We’ll be able to offer a much larger capacity for user it will also have a greater amount of computer availability.”

Mayor Becker says the library will open, as expected, next April.
