Large rocks provide easy fix to shoreline restoration but place a toll on wildlife

The Delaware Center for Inland Bays promotes natural restoration, however it’s not the only way of tackling shoreline erosion. Officials say one common way to tackle shoreline restoration is place large rocks or fiberglass material at the shoreline to block the erosion. While these can be effective in stopping erosion, officials warn they take a big toll on bay life and create a barrier between the water and shore.
