Lake Forest overpowers Indian River

For the second season in a row, the Lake Forest Spartans have captured the Henlopen South title. The Spartans clinched the division with a 34-14 win over Indian River on Friday night.

Running back Ben Moore scored two touchdowns in the first half, while Quarterback Noah Feague-Johnson scored two rushing touchdowns as well, including a 63-yard backbreaking run late in the third quarter, to all but put the game out of reach. Slot Trevon Milton also had a rushing score on the ground.

For Indian River, George Martin finished with over 200 yards all purpose and two touchdowns, including a 55 yard touchdown off a halfback pass, to Barry Hooper.

The win for Lake secures a Division II playoff spot, the Spartans will conclude their regular season at rival Milford, while Indian River hosts Sussex Central.
