Keeping our veterans smiling

Our military veterans do so much for our country, often times with little thanks. So as a way of showing appreciation Dentist Randall Hiers, his staff and volunteers offered free dental care Saturday to over 40 veterans.

This is the second year Hiers has held his Veteran’s Dentistry from the Heart event at his Eastern Shore Smile Solutions Easton, Md. location. 

Veterans were offered free extractions, fillings or cleanings.

Along with the free dental service, Hiers and his staff also provided breakfast and coffee for the veterans while they waited for their turn in the chair.

“I don’t think we could ever repay them for what they do,” Hiers said, adding that the event “provides us a means to give back for myself, my staff, the other doctors all of us.”

Heirs said giving free dental service to veterans not only helps their teeth,  but also gives them a renewed reason to smile.
