Information sought in armed robbery of Riverside Market in Salisbury

Police in Salisbury say they are looking to identify the suspect in the armed robbery of a convenience store.

Salisbury Police say just after 8:00 PM on Monday, Officers responded to the Riverside Market, on Riverside Drive, for reports of an armed robbery. Once on scene, Police say they learned that a man walked into the store armed with a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk.

According to the report, the suspect reached into the cash register, and took an undisclosed amount of cash, before fleeing on foot. Police say once they responded, a K9 attempted to track the suspect, but didn’t locate the suspect. No injuries were reported.

Investigators describe the suspect as a man standing between 5′ 8″ and 6′ tall, weighing about 150 pounds, last seen wearing a yellow hooded sweatshirt with the hood up, dark colored pants, and a black mask over his face, while armed with a black semi-automatic handgun.
