Hornets cant hang on late against Penn

The Delaware State men’s basketball team fell to 0-2 on the season, dropping 60-54 to Penn at Memorial Arena.
Penn center Darian Nelson-Henry scored a game-high 16 points, including a crucial turn around hook with less than one minute to play, to put the Quakers up 3.
DeAndre Haywood came off the bench to lead all Hornets with 13 points, while backcourt mate Devin Morgan had 12, Haywood and Morgan were the only Hornets in double-figures.
A 26-26 game at the half, Penn jumped out to an 8 point lead in the second, before Delaware State fought back to tie the game late in the second half. Penn would cap the with Nelson-Henry’s big bucket, followed by a tip-in by Matt Howard.
Delaware State will try for their first win for the third time this season when they go on the road to take on Nebraska on Thursday.
