Greenwood couple arrested on cocaine distribution charges

State Police say they have wrapped up a two month drug investigation, with two arrests.

Delaware State Police say on Thursday morning, around 6:00 AM, the Sussex County Drug Task Force with the help of the Greenwood Police Department and Sussex County Governor’s Task Force, searched a home on Mill Street, in relation to a two month long investigation into illegal drug sales from the residence.

Once on scene, Trooper say they took 26-year-old Donald Carey, and 31-year-old Carla Dyer, into custody. Police say Dyer’s three children, ages 11, 10, and 7 years of age, were in the house at the time of the search, and were turned over to a relative. The search of the home reportedly revealed 80.74 grams of cocaine, 0.7 grams of marijuana, and over $2,900.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Both Carey and Dyer were taken to Troop 4 were they were charged with possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, tampering with evidence, conspiracy 2nd, possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

They were then turned over to the custody of the Delaware Department of Corrections, Carney on a $42,000 secured bond, and Dyer on a $9,250 secured bond.
