Giant announces pudding recall, due to allergen left off label

A local grocery store says they have removed a product from shelves, after an allergen was left off of the label. Giant Food says Kozy Shack Enterprises LLC have been removed from sale, because they may contain egg, which wasn’t listed on their ingredient label.

The following products are included in this recall:
· Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Salted Caramel Pudding, 15 oz., UPC 7349109240, lot number 31908941 with a use by date of 11/30/2015
· Kozy Shack Indulgent Recipe Vanilla Bean Pudding, 15 oz., UPC 7349109230, lot number 31908940 with a use by date of 11/30/2015

Officials say the products are safe to eat for those who don’t have an egg allergy, but could be harmful to those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs. Giant says there haven’t been any illnesses to date. Customers should dispose of any unused portions, and bring their original purchase receipt to the store, for a full refund.
