Fire destroys mobile home in Laurel

Officials from the Office of the State Fire Marshal in Delaware say a mobile home was destroyed after a fire on Wednesday night.

Assistant State Fire Marshal Michael Chionchio tells 47 ABC the blaze happened just before 9 P.M. Wednesday on the 12000 block of Starks Drive.

Investigators say the fire was caused by a portable space heater.

Total loss is reportedly estimated at about $25,000.00.

Chionchio says there were no injuries reported. There is no word at this time whether the home was empty or occupied at the time.
