Felton man arrested for assaulting another at a Dover bus station

A Felton man is facing charges, after Police say he assaulted and robbed someone at a DART bus station.

Dover Police say on Thursday afternoon around 5:10 PM, 28-year-old Brandon Ricks confronted a 52-year-old man at the DART Bus Station on South Queen Street, and started hitting him. Police say the man then fell to the ground, while Ricks continued to punch him, before stealing his cellphone and other personal items.

Ricks then reportedly fled towards New Street. The victim was treated at Bayhealth Kent General Hospital and released.

Police say they arrested Ricks a short time later, and charged him with assault second degree, and first degree robbery. He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on a $22,500 bond.
