Fatal crash in Felton under investigation

A Felton woman died on Sunday, after she was involved in a crash in Camden the day before.
Delaware State Police say around 10:30 AM, 30-year-old Thomas Bowie, of Camden, was driving a 2009 Hyundai Sonata on Willow Grove Road, near Dundee Road. At the same time, Police say 84-year-old Alice Bloom, of Felton, was driving a 2009 Honda Civic on Dundee Road, and had stopped at the stop sign at the intersection with Willow Grove Road.
According to the report, Bloom then proceeded into the intersection, and hit the Sonata, before continuing into the southbound lane, where to collided with a 2013 Chevrolet Cruz, nearly head on, that was stopped at Route 10. Police say Bloom was taken from the scene by EMS to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, where she was admitted in serious condition, but later died as a result of her injuries on Sunday morning.
Bowie, and his two children, were all properly restrained, and uninjured in the crash. The driver of the Cruz, 82-year-old Donald Baugh, was uninjured in the crash, but his 81-year-old wife was rushed to Kent General Hospital by EMS with undetermined injuries.
The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit says they are continuing their investigation into this incident. The intersection was closed for about an hour while the crash was investigated, and cleared.
