Eagles comeback to steal win in OT over Warriors

The Snow Hill girls soccer team kept their season alive on Tuesday night, coming from behind to defeat Mardela 4-3 in overtime, in the 1A East Section II Semifinals.

After being down 1-0 midway thru the first half, Anna Adams would tie the game up after settling a free kick in the box and shot. The Warriors would answer after Kasey Goshorn would rocket a shot into the net from about 25 yards out.

With a 2-1 lead, Mardela all but put the game away, when just 30 seconds into the second half, forward Kathleen Sann broke away and put a ball just over the Eagles’ keeper’s head.

But Snow Hill would respond with three unanswered goals, including the game winner in overtime. The Eagles move on to host Cambridge in the Section II final on November 6th.
