Dover man arrested while publicly intoxicated

Harrington PD say they arrested and charged a Dover man after he was found intoxicated on a Dart Bus.

According to reports, on Monday, November 23rd, Harrington police responded to Clarks Corner Apartments for a report of an intoxicated person on a bus. When they arrived they found 57-year-old Benny R. Warncke Sr., of Central Church Rd. in Dover.

Police also say that Warncke urinated while on the bus.

Warnck was taken into custody without incident but then was transported to the Harrington Police Department for processing.

He was later charged with Criminal Mischief under $1,000 and Disorderly Conduct.
He was arraigned via video phone at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute in default of $500 secured bond.
