DNREC extending public comments for proposed regulations

Delaware residents that haven’t gotten the chance to voice their opinions on proposed amendments to regulations regarding beach protection and the use of beaches will have the chance to do so, thanks to an extension.
DNREC originally had the comment period ending on November 22nd but they’ve extended it, due to a request from residents. During the commentary period officials will discuss legislative changes to Delaware’s existing Beach Preservation Act.
DNREC is also looking to incorporate the Division of Watershed Stewardship policies and construction standards with existing beach regulations. Residents now have until through close of business on Monday, December 7th to voice their opinions.
