“Dirt Road Patriots” opposing Syrian refugees

The recent terrorist attacks in Paris have raised a lot of debate over allowing Syrian refugees into the United States.
Delaware Governor Jack Markell says he’s in support of bringing them in to the country, but one group rallying in Delaware on Sunday says he should change his mind.
The Dirt Road Patriots held an American Flag vehicle run in Milford in an effort to display their opposition to Governor Markell’s decision.
They traveled from Milford, up to Legislative Hall in Dover, and back. The group says there’s work that needs to be done at home first, before other people can be brought in.
Travis Lawson says, “I just don’t think it’s right to bring all these people over when we’re not even taking care of our own like our veterans and our homeless people sitting over here.”
47 ABC spoke with Governor Markell about the refugee crisis last week. He says he believes the vetting process for refugees coming to this country is serving it’s purpose, and that safety is his primary focus.
