Delmarva gears up for the holidays

Organizers of the Decorating Delmarva HolidayFest have been prepping for weeks now. Decorating Delmarva is a festival by the Delaware International Speedway where non-profit organizations put their decorating skills to the test by building a festive display. The top best displays are awarded prize money.
In their three years of operation, Decorating Delmarva has given back over $80, 000 to the groups that have competed in the contest. However, the fun doesn’t end there, visitors can drive-thru the holiday light display as well as participate in various family friendly activities the next few weekends.
Mark Cathell one of the organizers of Decorating Delmarva say, “When you see the kids come in and all the joy in their faces and some of the families that get to come in here and some of the prizes when they win. It’s just a good feeling to give back.
Opening weekend for Decorating Delmarva is December 4th. Each weekend is given a theme starting off with Mrs. Claus’ Arts and Crafts Fair.
