Colonels Volleyball Edge Snow Hill

The Colonel Richardson volleyball team topped Snow Hill 3-1 Monday night in the second round of the state tournament to advance to the regional semifinals. The Colonel will now face Pocomoke at home on Wednesday.

Colonel Richardson would jump out to a big lead in the first set led by strong serving, and Jazmine Brooks controlling the game at the net. After earning the set, the Colonels went back to work in set 2, and again grabbed a nice lead thanks to aces from Morgan Willoughby. Just when it looked like the match might be a three set sweep, the Eagles came fighting back. Tajah Roberts would record several kills at the net, as the momentum of the match swung in favor of the road team. But CR wasn’t going to let their lead slip away. After dropping set 3, the Colonels would bounce back to close out the match in the 4th.
