Colonel holds at home to advance to regional final

The Colonel Richardson boys soccer team advanced to the 1A East regional championship Thursday night, defeating Bayside North rival Kent County 2-0.
At the 25:34 mark, Jacob Hicks got the Colonel’s on the board with a timely header off a corner kick, placed right out of reach of the goalkeeper. A few minutes later, Brockman Harris found Nick Roop’s foot right in front of the net, at the 21:43 mark in the first half. That would be all the offense the Colonel’s needed, as the defense locked down the final 60 minutes of the match.
Colonel will take on the winner of the Pocomoke/Crisfield game scheduled for Friday at 2:30. The regional final is scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th, time TBD.
