Cause of Friday morning house fire under investigation in Salisbury

A Friday morning house fire in Salisbury, remains under investigation, and the cause undetermined at this time.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the flames started on Friday, around 7:45 AM, on the back patio and deck area of the St. Andrews Drive home. A neighbor discovered the blaze, and 20 firefighters from Salisbury and Hebron responded to the scene.

They reportedly had the flames under control in about 15 minutes. Damages are estimated to total $20,000. No injuries were reported.

Investigators say they were able to track the origin of the blaze, but are still working on just what caused it. Anyone who may have information about this fire, is asked to contact the Salisbury Office of the State Fire Marshal at 410-713-3780.
